The DSCSA is Title II of The Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA), enacted to to ensure the security of the drug supply chain, protecting consumers from exposure to potentially harmful drugs.
The DSCSA aims to prevent counterfeit, contaminated, stolen or otherwise harmful drugs from entering the supply chain and mandates a rapid response when these drugs are identified.

The FDA does not mince words, through correspondence with the respective manufacturer or re-packager, dispensers must verify: Transaction History, Transaction Information, NDC, Serial Number, Lot Number, Expiration Date.
